This Hindu Swami received his initiation from his Guru in the Ganges River in India, where the power to transmit the Divine blessing was bestowed upon him. While he respected my wish to photograph him in prayer or meditation, he was reluctant to offer a divine blessing to a mirror.
The Hindus believe that the power of the Shakti can be received through the photograph of an enlightened master. When I explained to the Swami that many people would see the photograph of him offering his blessing, he accepted my use of the mirror.
